Fees and Billing
Billing and payments
We use Ezyclaim in our rooms, allowing Medicare rebates to be automatically refunded to your nominated bank account at the time of your visit. We accept cash, cheques and most major credit cards.
Our billing takes into account the Medicare Safety Net, a federal scheme that allows eligible patients to claim 80% of certain out-of-pocket costs once the annual threshold has been reached.
For more information about the Medicare Safety Net and your eligibility, you can contact Medicare directly or visit their website. Our Practice Manager, Donna Pretlove, is also available to assist with general enquiries.
Obstetric care and insurance
Patients receiving obstetric care must have appropriate private health insurance cover. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide obstetric services to uninsured patients.
International patients
International patients with overseas health cover are asked to contact our rooms on 03 4245 2007 to discuss individual fee structures for both gynaecology and obstetric care.
Schedule of fees
Please contact our Practice Manager, Donna Pretlove, for further information regarding our schedule of fees or to discuss any billing queries.
Insured patients
If you require admission to hospital and hold private health insurance, your theatre and hospital bed fees will be covered according to your level of insurance, with any applicable excess payable directly to the hospital.
You will receive Medicare and private health insurance rebates for surgeon and anaesthetist fees. An estimate of expected out-of-pocket costs will be provided prior to your procedure. All out-of-pocket fees are payable one week before surgery.
