Avonlea Clinic is a specialist group practice providing obstetric and gynaecological services for women in the wider Geelong region.
Our team of highly skilled and experienced specialists include Dr Marilla Druitt, Dr Anne Hotchin, Dr Tony Ma and Dr Vidhu Krishnan, who together work across three public and private hospitals in Geelong to provide the best of care. Together with our wonderful reception support staff we offer friendly and informative care for pregnancies and women’s health problems.
Our specialists are highly skilled in management of high risk pregnancy care, pregnancy planning, colposcopy of abnormal cervical screening, prolapse, advanced laparoscopic surgery for fibroids, endometriosis, abdominal and vaginal surgery. We book pregnant women at St John of God Hospital Geelong and perform gynaecology surgery at SJOG Geelong and Epworth Geelong.

Dr Krishnan has joined our Avonlea team and will be accepting referrals through ReferralNet or fax.
Dr Vidhu Krishnan is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, who trained in Australia and is passionate about womens health. She strongly believes in shared decision making and aims to provide holistic and women centered care for her patients.
Vidhu offers an extensive range of services in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with special interest in high-risk obstetrics. She has worked in multiple metropolitan and rural centers across the Australia and is actively involved in the training of medical students and junior doctors through her current appointment at Barwon Health.
Vidhu is culturally sensitive and quite understanding about the needs of women with different cultural backgrounds. She is effective in communicating with women and their families and can also speak Hindi. She is a calm listener and treats women with utmost respect and dignity. Dr Krishnan enjoys being a part of women’s journey into motherhood, being very conscious that every woman’s journey is unique.
