How effects us daily some of us can't work full time to make ends meet and these days you need at least 2 or 3 jobs to live
Mainly wish doctors had more knowledge of what signs/symptoms to look for and treatments. The duration for diagnosis is too long and often unseen or under treated
How painful it is. And have to go through pain day on and day out. 24/7/365

I have suspected adeno from a pelvic ultrasound and years dealing with all the symptoms from sharp stabbing pains, severe bloating and distension, pelvic floor dysfunction, severe period pain and nausea. My only current pain management is heat packs & period pain medication.

It's Adenomyosis Awareness Month and we are raising awareness about this disease that impacts one in every five people assigned female at birth.
How is adenomyosis treated?
- Lifestyle changes: Some people find relief from symptoms by adopting a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, stress management, and a balanced diet.
- Hormonal therapy: Birth control pills, hormonal intrauterine devices (IUDs), or other hormonal treatments may help regulate menstrual cycles and reduce symptoms.
- Surgical options: In severe cases or when other treatments aren't effective, surgery such as a hysterectomy may be recommended.
- Pain relief: Over-the-counter pain relievers or prescription medications can help alleviate cramps and discomfort.
