Pelvic pain is an intricate issue that impacts individuals across all walks of life.

Research indicates that approximately 25% of people assigned female at birth and 10% of people assigned male at birth encounter chronic pelvic pain during their lifetime.

Moreover, pelvic pain isn't exclusive to a particular demographic—it affects pregnant individuals, postpartum mothers, and those who have undergone pelvic surgeries or experienced trauma.

These statistics underscore the significance of acknowledging and addressing pelvic pain, emphasising the need for greater awareness and support.

Thank you to Lexi Cartwright from @newscorpaus and all those who signed the petition and shared their stories.

We must continue this momentum until there is no diagnosis delay and everyone in Australia can access timely, affordable multidisciplinary care.

We urge state and federal government to keep listening to consumers, clinicians and advocates.

Together we can change this space so EVERYONE with persistent pelvic pain is SEEN, BELIEVED, HEARD and TREATED the first time and every time they access medical care.

How effects us daily some of us can't work full time to make ends meet and these days you need at least 2 or 3 jobs to live

Mainly wish doctors had more knowledge of what signs/symptoms to look for and treatments. The duration for diagnosis is too long and often unseen or under treated

How painful it is. And have to go through pain day on and day out. 24/7/365
